Community Inclusion Coaching
Community Inclusion Coaching (CIC) is direct and individualized support provided to children, adolescents, and adults in the real world. CIC is designed to help individuals experience inclusion when participating in community activities. All CIC are either working towards a Master’s degree in counseling or social work OR already have a Master’s degree and receive regular supervision and guidance from April Artz, LPC/Practice owner.
CIC for Youth
CIC for youth can assist individuals to be able access the spaces where they should be such as: school, after school programming and summer camp/summer programming. This is an individualized service dependent on their needs.
Participating in multiple parts of a school day
Participating in specific parts of a school day
Participating in an after school program or after care
Participating in an extra-curricular such as scouts, a sport, a religious schooling experience
Participating in a summer camp or summer programming
“When Quest camp ended, my son went back to school and was immediately struggling with virtual school due to the pandemic. I, unfortunately, was not blessed with the gift of patience in life, and I remember reaching out to April for a cry out for help. She was right on it and we initiated a Zoom meeting. She was so helpful and had the great idea of introducing Jordan (CIC) to our lives. That to this day was the greatest plan and idea she had for us. Jordan has been wonderful with our son and so helpful. He knows how to keep him focused on the tasks at hand, and the two of them have a great relationship. My son trusts that he can tell Jordan things and that Jordan will be able to provide appropriate advice to him. If I am struggling to get through to my son on something, I can reach out to Jordan about it, and he can also help. I am so happy Jordan came into our lives and has been such a blessing to my son.”
